Tarteeb and the alternatives
Written by us, so read it with that in mind. We have tried to be accurate about the alternatives rather than flattering about ourselves, including the cases where you should not pick us.
What is the best LMS for a coaching centre in Pakistan?
It depends which half of the problem you have, and the category name hides that there are two halves.
Most Pakistani products sold as an “LMS” are school management systems with a lesson module attached. A smaller group are learning platforms with the administration left out.
The first kind is organised around the institution: fees, attendance, admissions, exams, timetables, parent messaging. The second is organised around the lesson: teacher, subject, lecture, student, progress. Both are legitimate products. They solve different problems and it is worth knowing which one you are shopping for before you compare prices.
Tarteeb is firmly the second kind, narrowed further to O and A Level coaching. That is a deliberate limit, not a roadmap gap.
How the two categories differ
| Tarteeb | School management systems | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is built around | Teacher → subject → lecture → student | Institute → module → record |
| Typical buyer | O/A Level coaching centres and individual teachers | Schools, colleges, multi-campus institutions |
| Fee collection | None. Never sees a transaction | Usually core, often with local payment rails |
| Attendance and admissions | None | Usually core |
| Live classes | None | Common |
| Who owns a recording | The teacher who made it | Usually the institute |
| Teacher at several academies | One subject granted to each, stored once | Usually a separate account per institute |
| A student taking six teachers | Counted once | Usually six enrolments |
| Bandwidth and watch time | Never charged | Usually capped by plan tier |
Who the alternatives actually are
EduSuite is a school management system for Pakistan: twenty-plus modules covering the whole administrative stack, AI that turns a board textbook into a syllabus, scheme of study, timetable and daily lesson plans, bilingual in English and Urdu, with local payment compliance. If you run a school and the timetable is your problem, it is a serious product and Tarteeb is not competing for that job.
Zenslearn is the closest thing to a direct competitor: a white-label LMS for Pakistani institutes with live Zoom classes, attendance, certificates, AI quiz generation and native apps. It has a broader feature list than we do and you can sign up for it yourself in a few minutes. It is priced per student and its storage is capped per plan tier.
Competitor descriptions are from their own published material, checked September 2026. We have deliberately not characterised products we could not verify firsthand.
When Tarteeb is the wrong choice
We would rather say this here than in a demo. Do not choose Tarteeb if:
- You need fee collection. Tarteeb never sees a fee, an invoice or a transaction.
- You need attendance registers, admissions or timetabling. None of it exists.
- You need live online classes. We host recordings, not sessions.
- You need certificates, or a parent portal.
- You need progress reporting today. The player records where a student stopped, but there is no analytics screen built on it yet.
- You run a school rather than a coaching centre.
Where Tarteeb is genuinely different
Two things, and both come from how Pakistani coaching actually works rather than from a feature list.
A teacher owns their subject and can grant it to several academies at once. It is stored once, listed under each academy’s branding, and the teacher can withdraw it. Most platforms assume the institute owns the content and the teacher is staff, which is not the arrangement most coaching centres actually have.
A student is counted once. Someone studying six subjects with six of your teachers is one student on your bill. Ten teachers with 350 shared students pay for 350 students, not for the thousand-odd enrolments they hold between them.
And because our storage provider does not bill for bandwidth, watch time is never charged and never capped — which is why we can be specific about price instead of quoting on request.
What we are, plainly
Small, new, and built by one person in Karachi who sits O and A Levels himself. We set every centre up by hand, which is a genuine advantage at this size and would not scale to five hundred schools. If you want a large vendor with a support desk, we are not that, and you should weigh it.
If after reading this you think one of the alternatives fits you better, that is a useful outcome and we would rather you found out now.
