How much does Tarteeb cost?

Free for up to 25 students. Then straightforward monthly tiers: Rs 3,500 includes 75 students, Rs 7,500 includes 225, Rs 18,000 includes 600 and Rs 25,000 includes 1,000. Students above your plan are Rs 60, Rs 50, Rs 40 or Rs 20 each depending on the tier, and only if you switch extras on — nothing is ever charged automatically. The price stops at Rs 90,000 a month; past that, every further student is free.

Is there a setup fee?

No. There is no joining fee and no contract, and we migrate your existing recordings for you as part of setting the centre up.

How is a student counted?

Once. A student taking six subjects from six different teachers at your centre is one student on your bill, not six. Only currently enrolled students count — suspend someone and they stop counting from that month.

Do you charge for video bandwidth or watch time?

No. Bandwidth, watch time and lessons are never charged. Our storage provider does not bill us for the bandwidth students use when they watch, so we do not price it in.

What happens to a teacher who shares a subject with my centre?

They are not charged to you. A shared subject is stored once rather than again for each centre, and the teacher keeps their own students separately.

Large academies

Enterprise is Rs 25,000 a month for up to 1,000 students, then Rs 20 for each student above that, and the bill never passes Rs 90,000 a month. From 4,250 students on, every extra student is free.

Why we can promise that: our video is served from storage that charges us nothing when students watch. Bandwidth is the cost that makes other platforms meter watch time, so there is nothing for us to pass on.

Slide-based lectures take about 1 GB for every 5 hours; filming yourself on a webcam takes several times more, which is why we quote gigabytes, not hours. More room comes in blocks, never by the gigabyte:
